As an artist, I explored how society divides people based on age. I was in a town where we spoke English and German. I discovered a box of large metal nails in an old workshop close to my studio. I placed these nails on the floor to form the words “k,” “i,” “n,” and “d”. This placement resulted in the word “kind”. In German, it means “child,” and in English, “category”. What does it mean to categorize people as “children”? Creating this artwork reminded me of children playing in the sand.
