Establishing Context
An automobile repair shop becomes an artistic environment, carrying an imaginary journey through advanced technologies and miners’ issues.
There are materials that technology needs and cannot be easily substituted [note 1], namely critical resources. “Critical Journey” is about it. The focus is on the human rights challenges faced by individuals engaged in the mining process of these materials.
This topic creatively blends with the idea of a journey. That’s the reason for the title. The idea came from a 1903 book. The book narrates a journey featuring an antique car. The same company that owns the shop crafted the vintage vehicle.
This detail provided the glue to construct the new meaning embedded in the artwork.
